Vintage Posters
Print & Paper

This hands-on workshop introduces the fundamentals of letterpress printing using vintage wood type in a professional printmaking studio. You’ll explore traditional typography, learning how to select, combine, and arrange letterforms to create bold, striking poster designs.

The workshop covers the essential techniques of type composition, inking, and press operation, giving you practical experience with the full letterpress process. You’ll print your work using our rare 1860 Albion Press, producing distinctive posters with the tactile quality unique to letterpress.

The workshop is taught by award-winning printmaker and letterpress printer Renee Hadlow at The Armarie Room, a professional printmaking studio known for its heritage presses and traditional approach to print. Whether you’re new to letterpress or looking to expand your creative practice, this is a rare opportunity to work with historic equipment and create your own posters in an authentic working studio.
